Whether your going in full dress tomorrow day/night or going for the subtle scary touches these are some of my favourite horrifying pieces on the high street.

The cross necklace from River Island would be great for any vampire look, even though technically Vamps cant touches crosses but the symbol is often a part of the classic Halloween costume, sorry my true geeky Buffy side coming out there! Team with Velvets, silks and hey why not a cape & there you have it, your a creature of the night!

Secondly this bat print skirt from Topshop I adore! I love the bat print and monochrome never dates, perfect for a sexy touch of horror to your day whilst keeping it chic.

Evening all! So the weather finally let up & stopped raining for about 20 minutes enough time for this outfit post. YAY! Although the weather might be wet its surprisingly warm for Scotland and perfect for my thick, sleeveless cardi! This Topshop piece is one of the first things I ever brought in there years & years ago on sale at a bargain price of £7, I think! It was quite some years ago!

MY WEEK #12

CHAMPAGNE & POMEGRANTE | A/W NAILS | SHOOTIN' | AUTUMN WALK | EDINBURGH NIGHT OUT | MOUTH WATERING WAFFLE | BLOOMIN' HELL | VIDEO FUN | MAIL.

Another week gone & this one was a lovely one, except the stress from uni work! Monday passed was my hand in for a styling project (upload to come) so my weekend was pretty much full of sketchbook & Photoshop work, including spending a late Friday night in the photography studio! Later on Friday I popped down to a local salons opening night party, with Champagne & nibbles it was a student dream!

But although we were snowed in with work, we still found time to party, of course! One of my classes this year is arranging a fashion show in aid of SAMH a Scottish mental health charity and to raise money we had a club night at Cabaret Voltaire, a popular club in Edinburgh. The R'nB room was home, perfect 90s garage, Tupac & a touch of Kayne, could it of got any better? Except face planting on the Royal Mile (not my greatest moment) the night was a success and we raised lots of money & awareness!

On Sunday Caitriona, Rosie & I treated ourselves to a waffle at the local waffle house, Waffley good! As you can see above it was a chocolate dream, I chose mini egg and even got a doggy bag to take home as I couldn't finish! A-mazing!

How was your week?

THE CITY I LOVE.

SCOTT & I ON THE MIDLOTHIAN HEART |  THE SCOTTISH NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY | SCOTT MONUMENT | ART AT THE NATIONAL GALLERY | CAMERA OBSCURA | VIEW OF THE CITY | SCULPTURES AT THE NATIONAL GALLERY.

Afternoon! This post features one of my most loved places ever, Edinburgh. The beauty of the Scottish capital is unbelievable and these are just some snaps of my latest visit. With so many great things to see its hard to do them all in one day, every time I go back I find another uniquely Scottish thing that I fall in love with.

Filled with amazing museums and beautiful architecture the capital is perfect for the cultured with a monumental building on every corner. J.K Rowling even took inspiration from the city for her Harry Potter collection.

Camera Obscura was the latest tourist treat Scott & I went along to. It was amazing, definitely worth the slight pricey entrance fee, full of illusions and games, was definitely a highlight of my time spent in Edinburgh.

So If you ever find yourself in Edinburgh make sure to walk through Princes street gardens, view the castle and take a minute to take in the beauty of the capital.

NAILED IT- MATTE FUN.

Howdy readers! For this week I used a variety of my favourite nail art techniques, nail studs, glitter & matte top coat. The winters definitely drawing in & these colours made me feel all festive. The dark teal is a Gelly high shine in watermelon, I love the dark green and with a top coat of Rimmel matte finish I think the colour looks even more enticing!

I chose to use nail studs and glitter as well for a bit more fun, because nail art is all about experimenting. The gold glitter is just from a craft shop & the nail studs from eBay, I love the gold comparison with the teal, it definitely make me feel Christmassy with the glitter & greens!

To create the stripe I placed nail tape to achieve a boundary and applied a top coat and sprinkled on the glitter whilst still wet, when dry remove the tape & you have your glitter stripe!

So sorry for the delay in uploading this post, uni work has had the better of me this week.

'til next time!

MY WEEK #11

FLORAL | YUMMY COCKTAILS | MOUTH WATERINGLY GOOD DAIM DAIRY MILK | NAUGHTY NANDOS | SHADOWS | KITTY KAT | CAMERA OBSCURA | AU CINEMA | EDINBURGH.

Hello there! So another week has passed and this one was pretty amazing! Scott my boyfriend visited me for the first time this semester.. a month apart isn't easy but when we see each other its all worth it! So the luxurious weekend was full of amazing food, hugs and a much needed trip to the capital.

The highlight was Camera Obscura, we visited on a Sunday so except the screaming kids, It was amazing! 5 floors of optical illusions, beautiful views & even a spinning tunnel.. hard to explain. Its right by the castle, so very central and definitely worth a visit.

The cat jumper is a style steal from Dorothy Perkins, 20% off knitwear and then an extra 20% for students! Graphic knit jumpers seem to be everywhere, especially cat ones & I fell in love with this one!

What have you been up to this week?

The view of Edinburgh above is shot from their balcony area, its a great view, not great weather but definitely worth stopping by if your ever in need of some caffeine & fashion, which when are any of us not?

Other than trying to get my head down I've been blogging & watching far to many classic movies on Netflix.

MY FAVOURITE...

No. 7- GRACE

BARRY M- 154

NATURAL COLLECTION- PINK MALLOW

 ESTEE LAUDER- C35

My favourites... is another new post to my blog. As we go on I'm going to be showing you my favourites of pretty much everything, from make-up to nail varnishes & food & drink! So for my first instalment I looked through my make-up bag and grasped my favourite lippies! Now as many of you out there I'm sure your make-up bag is full of un-used products you wish to use more, well lipstick is definitely a neglected area of mine.

Lipstick is one of my favourite pieces of make-up, ever since I was young the way that it can enhance your face, your outfit and your confidence has always intrigued me! Above are some of my favourite lipsticks, all are available from your local boots! These are some of my favourites that I own but I'm looking to widen my collection, I'm looking for a seductive purple, I had my eye on the new Rihanna for Mac but it disappeared in a matter of minutes! BOO!
  •  So the first one, is Grace by No.7, I actually borrowed this off a friend one night & loved it so much my friends purchased it for my birthday! Its a beautiful dark chocolate burgundy and it goes with everything I own!

  • The next is a new Barry M I purchased lately, I was looking for a pale nude for a while but couldn't quite find the right shade, I love the golden sand matte tone to it, definitely a winner!

  • Up next is a favourite of mine and it has been for a while, much more of a summery shade, Pink Mallow at only £1.99 is a right bargain! Its so girly, pretty and it reminds me of summer days, I've been wearing it for years!

  •  Finally a classic red, as a blonde red lipstick is a classic combination. (obviously looks great with any hair colour) but I actually got given this un-used tester at my old work and I've loved it ever since, the colour is so sexy and its just perfection!

So there you have it, a round up of my favourite and current lippies, I'll keep you updated with any new lipstick purchases! What's your favourite lipstick?

til next time...

OUTFIT-ANIMAL PRINT.

JUMPER-H&M
LEGGINGS-TOPSHOP
LEATHER JACKET-ZARA
BOOTS-TOPSHOP
RINGS- H&M & PANDORA

Its a windy, rainy day here in Scotland so I felt it was time to crack out the winter boots! This monochrome jumper from H&M is great for the A/W '13 transition keeping you warm yet stylish. Animal print can be done well, or can be a massive faux pas, so I kept it simple & monochrome with black leggings, a Zara leather jacket & my trusty Topshop boots.

Til next time...

JOHNSTONS MILL.

So earlier on in September when I toured the Scottish Borders with my ma & pa we took a tour of the famous Johnstons mill in Hawick. This mill creates cashmere for Christopher Kane, Louis Vuitton, Hermes & many more high end designers as well as their own range.

They took you around the factory showing you all aspects of the finished garment from dying to hand stitching, it was amazing to see the skill and efficiency of everyone department & worker. Checked at every process the extreme care that Johnstons put into every final pattern is extra ordinary.

These are just a few snaps from the tour, if you ever find yourself in Hawick I'd advise the tour.. Its free which is always a plus and it was a great day!

MY WEEK #9

SHOOTIN' | GALA | HOME COMFORTS | COCKTAIL O'CLOCK | ROOK | NATURE | GALA WALK |
BLACK CHERRY | NEW LOOK HAUL.

Happy 1st of October all... The month of autumn, Halloween and my favourite time of year! So yes another busy week in Gala, my work load for third year seems to be continuous but I cant really complain! I'm in love with my new home, ive been trying to make my room more homely all week with candles, flowers and photo frames.

This week I also decided to get my rook pierced! Ive been wanting it done for quite some time and when the local piercing/tattoo shop offered 20% off for students I figured it would be rude not to!

I also went to a great cocktail bar in Gala, had a cosmo & sex on the beach two classics! Sugar round the glass and a slice of fruit, delicious & pretty! Other than that I've been submerged in Uni work, the top left image is from my styling class, where we had to recreate an image to the best of our ability, ill do a little post showing the original and my interpretation!

Additionally the other day I found myself walking the back way home from university, walking along the river. I saw some real nature and remembered that the sweet little town I live in, is actually quite picturesque & I definitely take that for granted.

How have you guys ended your September?
