Sooooo a major catch up is needed, sorry if you readers have been feeling neglected I have been unbelievably busy trying to finish university work, move to London for a month and sort out a little side project...more on that later.

So this month has been super nice being at home, seeing old friends, family and of course Scott, for those who don't know he's the boyfriend a.k.a old ball & chain! It been fabulous to be by the sea side soaking up the sea air before my return to the big smoke, that's right I'm in London! I managed to land an internship with one of my favourite magazines, Fabulous and will be working with them until the end of May! YAY! Although I only live a stones throw away, I figured London life for a month or so is a great shout!

Great news from today... I'M GOING TO GLASTO! My boyfriend's sister, FiancĂ©e, boyfriend and I are off to Glastonbury festival in June! So I'm super excited to see the likes of London Grammer, Disclosure, MIA, Lana Del Ray  & Dolly Parton to mention a few, its going to be unreeealllll!

Now, the little side project I mentioned earlier was a new venture My mother and sisters are doing, we're heading into the world of vintage and pre-loved clothing. At the moment were still still sorting out the details but we've got a lot planned so keep your eyes peeled ;)

So hope you've enjoyed the catch up?! what have you guys been upto?

OUTFIT- DARK DAYS.

CROPPED JUMPER-PRIMARK
VELVET SKIRT- MISGUIDED
NECKLACE- TOPSHOP
TIGHTS-PRIMARK
BOOTS- TOPSHOP

Hey guys, in this outfit I'm channelling my inner Goth it wasn't til after all the posing I realised how dark this ensemble was with the black velvet and PVC like burgundy boots but everyone's gotta let out their inner darkness at some point and why not channel it into fashion?!

The star's of this post is most defiantly the Topshop boots, for only £20 in the sale how could I resist, although they look high the platforms are sooooo comfortable making them a new favourite among my growing shoe collection.

The cropped jumper from Primark was even more of a bargain at only £2 in the Edinburgh store, un-sure at first its now a trusty go-to crop as red is one of my favourite colours and its so light and wearable!

Everybody loves a bargain, Have your purchased any steals lately?

JOHNSTONS OF ELGIN.

Afternoon all, so as all my year 3 university work is in I thought I would share with you my most recent film project.

Johnstons of Elgin is a company true to its Scottish heritage and in this film I wanted to portray Johnstons in contemporary and fun way. Using tartan as my main inspiration I focused my film around the poem, Mighty Tartan by poet Paul Yardley.

The bright colours, the families, the history, for me tartan is the very essence of Scotland and I wanted this to be evident in my film.

I really enjoyed this project and I'm really proud of the end result, what do you think?

T23.

If you follow me on twitter, instagram or we're facebook friends then this post should come as not surprise as I haven't shut up about it for the past few weeks! T23 is a collective of Heriot watt fashion communication students, including moi who created t-shirts to sell in Camden, London.

Firstly we took imagery from our previous semester and digitally printed them onto fabric then we created these t-shirts. The one off's are inspired by politics, art, fashion and everyday issues making each very personal and unique.

I personally took inspiration from artist Lucien Freud and current issues including Bronies- please google and the Chemical warfare. For more on my images please see my previous post here- http://promise-101.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/final-styling-images.html

The launch night last Thursday was a big success with people from every part of the industry attending, the beer was flowing and so was the conversation. It was great to talk about or t-shirts and really sell ourselves to London.

If you would like to visit the pop-up shop its from the 3rd- 10th of April at C/159 on Camden high-street a 2 minute walk from Camden Town tube.

Let me know if you pick up my tee!

RARE LONDON S/S 2014 LAUNCH.

Last Wednesday I was lucky enough to attend Rare London's S/S 14 launch. The event was held at Bounce London in Holborn a great venue just 5 minutes from Chancery lane tube stop. The night was filled with pizza, ping- pong and fashion an unbeatable combination.

It was great to see Rare London's new collection the colours and prints were bright and bold with lots of playsuits and dresses on show! One of my favourite pieces was the white laser cut 2 piece, seen above.

The champagne was flowing and the food was absolutely amazing, it was great to meet some lovely bloggers and the PR and marketing team from Rare London itself!

All in all it was a fantastic night and I cant wait for the collection to be available online so I can snap up some S/S pieces!
