I WISH.

ASTRA CRYSTAL QUARTZ NECKLACE- SHOP DIXI | LILAC PVC SKIRT- BOOHOO | FLORAL DRESS- MISS SELFRIDGES | STRAPPY BOOTS- ASOS.

As of late I've gone a little crystal crazy, since I brought my self that Druzy ring from Rock n Rose I've been a woman obsessed and this crystal necklace from Shop Dixi is definitely one for the wish list!

PVC is everywhere and skirts offer a safe fashionable option that's not to S&M, unless your going for that look and in that case, go you! As well as PVC I'm noticing alot of strappy boots on the highstreet, now winters not officially over and I'm not sure it never really is in Scotland but its never to early to purchase a pair of these babies, plus you have some serious fun with with your socks.

Finally the cami dress from Miss Selfridge, I just love this layered dress the light black mesh which just adds a bit of much needed toughness to the floral print, a summer must have!!

OUTFIT-SILK SLIP.

SLIP DRESS- TOPSHOP
TOP-PRIMARK
BOOTS-TOPSHOP
TIGHTS-M&S
NECKLACES-TOPSHOP & PRIMARK

Evening all! This outfit post features one of my Christmas Topshop voucher buys.. the silk slip! I love this dress with silky panels and areas of chiffon around the neckline, hem & the straps. Its one of my favourite things in my wardrobe at the moment, the only annoying thing is it creases so quickly but I'm still in love...

To style the dress down I placed a simple long sleeved top from Primark underneath just to make it a bit more day wear & Scottish friendly, cos boy its cold!!

I just accessorised with some gold chains, layering them for more of a statement.

HAUTE COUTURE SPRING '14.

As you well know last week was Haute Couture fashion week in Paris, for those who don't know Haute Couture is one of a kind pieces that are beautifully constructed & hand made therefore very expensive and very desirable! All of the shows were beautiful but these are some of my favourite looks from the week...

Design duo Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli have done it again. Valentino did not disappoint with stunning fabrics, heavy embellishment, amazing textures and beautiful prints! I've really grown to love Valentino as of late and this is my favourite show from the week.

Since Raf Simons replaced Bill Gaytten as creative director in April 2012, Dior has become another of my favourites to watch. The evolution since Simons reign is phenomenal, The Couture now feel contemporary but still Dior, this show is no different. With strong tailored shapes and interesting textures and fabrics this sleek show is another favourite of mine.

Elie Saab known for their intricate embellishment, attention to detail & fairytale dresses showcase another stunning collection that sparkles like any other! With a beautiful use of romantic fabrics and rainbow colours this collection was a highlight of Haute Couture week.

Last but not least Maison Martin Margiela, you can always count on the house for pure inspiration. His signature, covering the models faces with beautiful and interesting designs is still fascinating to me. I love the colours and the metallic Tabi shoes!

What was your Favourite collection from Couture week?

MY WEEK #23

RED VELVET CUPCAKE | ALL OF THE LIGHTS | LOUBOUTIN LOVE | NAUGHTY NANDOS | ROCK N ROSE | A LITTLE READING | VINTAGE SHOPPING | NEWSPAPER NAILS | EDINBURGH.

This week has been as always busy, but a fun one! Yesterday I got accepted into Asos all access, which really made my week!!! So excited to be a part of it & be on the inside, hehe!

My friend Caitriona & I also visited Edinburgh this week. We lusted over designer goods at Harvey Nich's, enjoyed a Nandos and shopped, all in all a great day: just what I needed after a stressful week! Got some great vintage & Primark steals- Primark haul to come!

The rest of the week consisted of lots of uni work, they've definitely got us working hard this semester!

How was your week?

NAILED IT- READ ALL ABOUT IT.

Afternoon, for your fortnightly instalment of NAILED IT, I attempted newspaper nails. This amazing technique has always been on my list of nail art to try and its surprisingly easy!

All you need is a pale colour as your base nail varnish, I used Barry M- Matt white for my look. Simply apply a few coats and let dry before dipping your nails into vodka, yes that's right, vodka. You can use other alcohol but vodka is the most popular, effective & one of the cheapest spirits.

After submerging your nail in vodka simply place a newspaper cutting over each nail & press for a few minutes, making sure you don't shift the paper, we don't want smudges now do we :) remove the paper smoothly & there you have it, newspaper nails!

Now if anything has gone awry you can remove the ink easily with a cotton pad, just smoothly wipe and try again & when your happy with your final result apply a top coat & allow to dry. I used Rimmel London matte top coat for a final, matte sheen.

You can have so much fun with this technique, let me know how you get on below!

BEST DRESSED AT THE SAG AWARDS 2014.

Last night the most important people in the film and T.V industry gathered at the SAG awards (Screen actors guild awards), but never mind who won we want to see the gowns, here's who I thought was best dressed.

This beautiful draped Vivienne Westwood gown worn my Juliette Lewis is simply stunning. I love the bold print with the soft colour against her wavy, pinned hair. Teamed with a simple gold clutch this dress is definitely one of my favourite looks.

Possible the most perfect and stylish couple ever? Matthew McConaughey and wife Camila Alves looked unbelievable at last nights awards. Alves wore a bright canary vintage Donna Karen Atelier whilst Matthew looked dapper in D&G. I just love the way the pleats fall creating a waterfall of yellow, a winning couple all round!

This heavily embellished gown is phenomenal, Malin Ackerman does justice to this Naeem Khan number. This figure hugging dress features intricate beading all over, styled with simple slicked back hair Ackerman keeps it simple and let's the dress do the talking.

Isla Fisher stuns in this Oscar De La Renta dress, the silky fishtail dress screams Hollywood glamour. Styled with her long auburn locks, a classic red lip and simple accessories this is my favourite look of the night!

The 12 years slave actress does it again, showing us she's a fashion force to be reckoned with. Lupita Nyong'o owns this beautiful Gucci gown, the flower embellishment on the neckline is intricate & alluring, another simple look but far from boring...

Elizabeth Rohm looks graceful and elegant in this Marchesa dress. The nude coloured dress is embellished with a delicate and subtle design creating a natural glimmer, keeping it sexy and chic.

Kelly Osbourne's transition from bad girl to fashion icon has been an interesting one. The fashion police host looks divine in this Zac Posen dress. Complimenting her body shape & lilac hair, Kelly looked truly beautiful.

The homeland star rocked this heavily embellished gown by Vionnet, I love the dark colours against the light panels, the sheer fabrics juxtaposed against the heavy sequins. Enhancing her look with smoky eyes Dane keeps accessories simple and looks amazing!

Who did you think was best dressed? Let me know below!

MY WEEK #22

YUMMMMM | YANKEE CANDLE | THE GOLDEN GLOBES | BACK TO BLONDE? | HARVESTER CRAVINGS | MISSING MY BOYS | WELCOME BACK COCKTAILS | I HEART MY BOOTS | RASPBERRY YOGHURT & FLAKE.

So its been an interesting couple of weeks into January! After all the travelling, busy christmas and amazing new year I needed some down time and its been full of Dexter, comfort food & my bed. But things are changing- normally I need New Years resolutions are just a fad but this year I'm giving it a go. My Coca-cola addiction, Smoking and my unhealthy habits are all under scrutiny! So wish me lots of luck!!

University started back on Monday and its safe to say I'm going to have my work cut out this semester but it should be an interesting one and before you know it, ill be looking down the barrel of 4th year, EEK!

Also this week I lusted over the beautiful gowns worn at the 71st Golden Globes I did a little best dressed post check it out here- http://promise-101.blogspot.co.uk/2014/01/best-dressed-at-golden-globes-2014_13.html

Hope your all having a great week so far..

OUTFIT-DARK FLORALS.

DRESS WORN AS TOP- RIHANNA FOR RIVER ISLAND
SKIRT-VINTAGE
BOOTS- TOPSHOP
TIGHTS-PRIMARK
RINGS-H&M & ROCK 'N ROSE

Afternoon all! This outfit is a deceiving one... The velvet jumper is actually a dress from the Rihanna for River Island collection but I decided to wear it as a jumper/top for this look. Sneaky I know but its a great way to get many looks out of one garment, try it!

The Jewellery for this look includes my new favourite addition from Rock 'n Rose. The natural crystal Druzy ring is a definite favourite, I could literally stare at it forever.. The photo doesn't do it justice! I complimented the Druzy
ring with simple matte and shine gold rings from H&M.

'til next time...

BEST DRESSED AT THE GOLDEN GLOBES 2014.

The 71st Golden Globes did not disappoint, celebrities, amazing gown, handsome actors and of course the awards! These are some of my favourite looks from last night...

Although she may be of one of my least favourite people I've got to hand to Taylor Swift, her style evolution has been intriguing to watch and this Carolina Herrera dress was to die for, I love the colour block and the simple Hollywood hair to match.

Olivia Wilde nailed pregnant beauty in this Gucci Premiere number. Keeping it sexy/elegant whilst pregnant can always be tricky but Olivia glows.

In a light frosty blue frock bEmelia Wickstead, Caitlin Fitzgerald stunned me. The textured gown compliments her blonde hair & with the dipped hem, high neck & short sleeves, shouldn't work but it just does!

Zooey Deschanel, one of my favourite actresses, fashion icon & musician gets it right every year and this year was no exception. She teamed her sweet Oscar De La Renta with a daisy manicure, so cute! I think this might be my Favourite look of all!

British actress Emma Roberts kept it classy in a black fishtail by Lanvin, one of my favourite designers. The tight fitted black number looked beautiful on Roberts, with slicked back hair & accessorised with turquoise statement earrings.

Michelle Dockery worn a stunning gown by Oscar De La Renta, simple yet elegant. Complimenting her pale complexion instead of washing her out this is a definite favourite.

One of the most talked about looks would be Emma Watson's, another style icon: her transformation from geeky Hermione to fashion heroine is profound. This Dior outfit is a deceiving dress/trousers- google the back & you'll understand. A dangerous move for the red carpet but with her young and known style Emma pulled it off.

Finally Lupita Nyong'o's Ralph Lauren cape like dress was simply beautiful. With a hint of colour on her lips and small earrings this plain ensemble may be safely simple but pure brilliance.

Hope you enjoyed my reviewed of my personal best dressed, who do you think was best dressed?

GLASGOW.

Afternoon all.. here are some of the snaps from our trip to Glasgow. I love Scotland and I've never been to Glasgow before but always wanted to go. Although not as pretty as Edinburgh it has something about it, something I cant explain.

We spent the day in looking around the west end, seeking out vintage shops, walking down sweet lanes, enjoying hot chocolate and riding the Subway, which is just a big circle of Glasgow, quite strange/funny really.

All in all was great to see the much loved city and I cant wait to go back!
